Chevrolet is excited to introduce the all-new Equinox EV! The Equinox EV is a new, affordable all-electric SUV designed to help families transition to an EV. It has a starting price of around $35,000 and is expected to be the most affordable EV in its class. It will also be available with up to an estimated 482 km of range on a full charge.
The Chevrolet Equinox EV was designed with style, space, safety, and value in mind. The gas-powered Equinox is already one of Chevy’s best-selling models, and the designers and engineers wanted to make an even better version with expressive design, electrifying capability, and effortless EV technology.
482 km of range
Offered in both FWD and eAWD, the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV will be available in five distinct trims: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 2RS and 3RS. That said, all of them will achieve a GM-estimated 482 km of range on a full charge with the front-wheel drive configuration. The 2024 Equinox FWD will push 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the 290-horsepower and 346 lb-ft torque eAWD version will still be able to cover an impressive 450 km between each charge.
Starting price of $35,000
The Equinox EV will have a starting price of around $35,000, making it the most affordable EV in its class. Chevrolet is expecting the Equinox EV to be a big hit with families, as it offers many of the same features and amenities as its gas-powered counterpart but at a much more affordable price point.
“The Equinox EV is an EV for everyone,” said Bell. “It’s an affordable game-changer, offering an uncompromising experience, with more features, that won’t change your daily routine — except that you will no longer have to stop at the gas station.”
Impressive safety features
The Chevy Equinox is already one of the safest SUVs on the road, and the all-new Equinox EV is no different. Families place a high value on safety, and Chevrolet’s Equinox EV boasts a range of impressive features as standard. It comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, Rear Park Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, Safety Alert Seat, Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Blind Zone Steering Assist.
There are several driver assistance technologies available, including Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, Rear Camera Mirror, and Head-Up Display. Also available is Super Cruise, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance system.
